Well, it's official: we have a puppy! Puppy doesn't yet have a name, but that shouldn't stop you from admiring his cuteness. The shelter was calling him Chumley, but we figure he's going to end up being quite large and regal-looking, so we're trying to think of a name that will suit him when he gets older.
Right now we're fostering him to make sure it works out with Georgie, and in a month or so we'll finalize the adoption. He's a very sweet boy; a handful to be sure, but a quick learner and a big goofball. We think he's pit mixed with boxer, or maybe lab.
Since last night was his first night with us and we therefore didn't sleep much, that's about all I've got for you today. Regular programming will resume tomorrow....

Oh wow, what a cute cute face. I am a dog free home, though, so I admire from afar. :)
OMG, puppy love so hard! He has a very handsome and intelligent look about him. I think the name will present itself to you. Oh what a lucky dog he is.
PUPPYYYY!!!!
He looks like a Phineas to me....
Or maybe an Oscar.
What a cutie! How about "Orwell" for a name? You have a Georgie so maybe...lol!
We have a bunch of dogs and know lots and lots of dogs through our dog sport we play so it's always fun to try to find unique names.
This is where I usually go to find good ones.

I knew you were a goner when you posted about him earlier. He is one good lookin' dog. I hope Georgie is taking it well!

SO ADORABLE!!! I call those pink noses "erasers".
That's one good lookin' pup you have there! Congrats!
Awww what a sweet face! I know he'll come to a name soon enough. Hope he settles in well and brings lots of love to your home. Congrats!
Awww,..I hope him and Georgie become the best of friends. What a little cutie. Congratulations!!
So cute! Hope he fits into your life well and that you can get back to a normal sleep schedule soon! Puppies are a definite handful, but so worth it!

He's adorable!
He looks like an Oscar or a Winston to me but as he gets to know you his personality will tell... pound puppies may take a little longer. He looks pretty soft :)
I think hes adorable. The little spot on his nose looks like a little dusky shark. Cuuuute!!!!
Oh MAN that is one cute pup!
What an absolutely adorable baby! He looks so sweet and I hope he gets along with your other fur-child! Shelter pups are often misunderstood... people don't realize that ALL puppies are hard work, even if from a breeder!
I'm sending virtual cuddles from afar! I love dogs!
Awww what a cutie!! Pits are the best =)
Oh, what a cutie!
Handsome fella! Edward perhaps? He's very regal. Or Oliver, if he's as much trouble as Mr Twist.

OMG, he is soooo cute! I actually like the name Chumley because where I live in England it is an aristocratic name. The local squire is Lord Cholmondley which is pronounced as 'Chumley' and round there here parts it's a posh name. I think he suits it.
I hope he settles in well, and he and Georgie get along. Good luck x
I'm a sucker for a sweet puppy face, and your new friend is adorable! Thank you for rescuing a dog in need of a home.
So sweet. What a wonderful face. =)
I like the name Montagu. It's regal sounding but not too gruff like Rex would be.
I WANT TO HUG HIM.
He's *gorgeous*. Such pretty brown eyes.
Awww...he is beautiful! And he has a face that says - I will protect my new owner no matter what!! Love him.
He is adorable!!
What if you called him Regent?
What a cutie! Name suggestions: Angus, Clyde, Max.
Oh, he's adorable! I love the markings, too. Rescue pups are the best.
So cute! We have an American Bulldog - love the bully breeds. They just seem to love everyone, and have the best ears. Plus those puppy faces will get you every time!
THUD.
I have just fallen over dead from his cuteness.
He looks like such a honey, no wonder you couldn't resist him. I hope he and Georgie become the best of friends.
Puppy is adorable!
Chumley's a good name for him. It's actually the way you pronounce the rather regal name of Cholmondeley.
He looks like a darling.

Faint THUD!
He's ADORABLE - and I have to agree with everyone else who said that pitties are the cutest, sweetest pups out there.
Please snorgle him for all of us!
He looks like a Hugo to me. No particular reason; that's just his name.
I like the Hugo suggestion.
He's quite adorable, and I hope it works out with your other dog. I remember when Sadie first joined our household: 4 months of sleep deprivation. It was sooooo worth it, though!
Squeeeee! So adorable! Do Want!
The wee pink spots on his nose look like continents on a map.
Perhaps Vasco (de Gama)?
I don't know- something about the look on his face says "James" to me. But I DO fancy Angus and Chumley as well.
Geeze, he's cute. Don't you just want to snuggle him? What a great face. He looks a bit like an old soul. So glad you found him! (and he you)
Awww, sweetheart. Definitely looks a bit boxer. Congrats on the new addition :)
Congratulations on your new family member! He's an absolute dear. That sweet face is too much! I'd be spending all day smooching that nose.
OH NOES he is too cute!! How is it going with the pup in the house? How are he and Georgie getting along?
We just added a ~1.5 yr old floppy border collie?/shepherd? pupper to our household with our 5-y-o pit/b.c.? mutt who looks a lot like Georgie. It is going pretty ok, but we have a lot of space for them to run around in. I can't imagine the pup in the apartment scenario.
About a month ago we lost our old good dog Oscar, who was pretty much the best dog ever in the world ever, and I think it is a good name for a good dog, and it should be distributed far and wide. If he is an Oscar you should name him Oscar.
Love his spotted nose! What a doll.
