Bare arms -- yes, our summer has finally arrived, after we'd all pretty much given up on it. Over the weekend it was in the 90's in San Francisco, a rarity indeed. It has since cooled down a bit, but there's still no way I'm complaining. In general San Francisco's best weather is in the fall, but usually it would've arrived before now and the months leading up to it wouldn't have been quite so frigid, except maybe over at the beach and up by the wharf, where all the tourists go in their shorts and sandals to freeze.

I really adore the dainty pattern mixing with the tops!
I like the layered tops.
The first time I went to San Francisco in the summer, I froze because I only brought tank tops. I was a teenager and it was during the pre-reliable internet days though, so I think it's excusable.
Your summer is all confused. You better sit it down for a chat and straighten its ass out.
Wow it does seem that you are in the great north with that wardrobe- but I am envious because I LOVE fall and winter wardrobes far more than summer.

I saw you post this on SW: "in the technical environment I work in I really have no outlet for talking about clothing or style."
...and it gave me the warm fuzzies to know that I'm not the only one. Nobody can hear me talk about shoes over the server room white noise. :)
I'm always surprised when you talk about the weather in SF, as a Brit I always imagined it to be very hot there all the time!
See now I'd be happy to wear boots all year round!
I love this purple skirt.
When I was in San Francisco it was in early October and the weather was lovely. Being right on the ocean keeps it very cool (my city is also on the ocean), especially at night.
I love the unfinished hem on that purple skirt - it's such the perfect detail. And I love the mix of prints and colors in your blouse and cardigan and belt against the purple. Such a great look!
