Personal Flair

I was happy to wear this dress without anything layered on top, so that all the interesting details showed. However, since a dress like this can't be belted, or layered over anything, there aren't too many options for giving it a personal flair. I threw on some fun jewelry and thought, "This is all I can do; I'm just going to have to let the dress be the star and settle for a fairly tame outfit." Then I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror with my fab new hair color. An interesting dress, pink skull jewelry and peacock blue hair; that'll do, that'll do indeed.

Dress: Escada Sport
Jewelry: Betsy Johnson
Tights: Hue
Shoes: John Fluevog
Hair: Michele at Colorbox

In love with the hair! Living in Podunk USA I have to settle for simple highlites. Totally agree about letting the dress be the star. Most little black dresses do a great job of standing on their own.

Fun hair! I think your tattoos also add nicely to the look.

The new 'do looks so great! This outfit really lets the details -especially your tattoos - shine. Missing the pink in my hair now. Thinking about putting it back in until I finish up school.

Gorgeous dress. Before I saw that it was Escada I assumed that it was Helmut Lang. It has that minimalist yet offbeat feel to it.

And of course I think the hair is fabulous.

Sometimes a great dress deserves to shine on its own. This one has enough interesting details to do just that.

This outfit rocks; there's no need to enhance it. The dress's design is fabulous and I like your patterned tights.

You have sophisticated taste and choose the kind of artistic clothes I'd go for if I could wear female clothing in public.

Phenomenal. And the hair is sort of the color of those jackets you were eyeing:).a

That may be the best LBD I've ever seen. I love your hair color. I've been mulling over adding deep purple streaks to mine, but worry about pulling it off in a conservative office.

Eee! I love the blue in your hair! Great classic look with a twist.

Do you have a new tattoo or two on your legs? I don't recall the ankle one or the one near your knee.

love this look. at first glance it looks like just a plain black lbd, then I caught the assymetrical detailing . the minimalism really sets off your haircolor.

The devil is in the details, in a good way!! What could be boring is totally hot with the twist you give it. Thumbs up!!

I love the cut of the dress on you. The combination of sophisticated dress and rebellious touches makes an awesome combo!

That hair colour is wonderful and the simplicity of the dress really lets it shine. I wish I could pull off a colour like that, but my natural colour is (more or less) orange so I think something like pink or burgundy would be less clashy...

I agree with the other peeps saying the dress makes the hair pop!
