I felt like an Amazon in this outfit, what with the sky-high heels and the long, floor-skimming skirt. I actually want to hem this skirt to ankle length but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. If I were several inches taller, like the Asos model, it would look like this:
And isn't that cute? The shoes are fully visible even when she's standing relatively straight; i.e., she isn't thrusting one leg out to show off her shoes, like I had to do. Lopping off about 3 inches ought to do the trick; that way if I ever want to wear it with flats it won't be dragging on the ground. I also won't step on it when I climb a flight of stairs. Did I ever mention that falling down a flight of stairs and knocking my teeth out is a huge phobia of mine? Don't think I didn't have visions of that phobia being realized when I wore this outfit.
This was one of my last outfits at the old job, and I got lots of compliments on it. Other than the shoe-hiding and the stair trampling, oh and the rolling over the bottom of the hem with my office chair every time I moved around, and the wind picking up the skirt like a huge sail when I was outside, I really loved the outfit. Yeah. Time to look into that hemming.Top: Michael Stars

The whole rolling over the hem of the skirt/dress is why I hesitate to wear full-length versions to work, as I'm up & down fairly often. Beautiful color on this skirt makes it extremely tempting to deal with the inconvenience. With all the pleats won't it be a real pain to shorten?
I thought I was the only one with that phobia!
Gorgeous look! I just bought a midi-length red pleated chiffon-y skirt and you have shown me at least one fab way to style it.
Beautiful skirt! I love the color.
Huh. Now I have a new phobia. But enough about me. Let's talk about how incredible you look in this ensemble. So, uh, you look incredible. I love how you've made the skirt more bada$$ than the model's version. I also love its extreme length, but share your desire for a more shoe-highlighting (and safe) stretch of skirtage. With a shoe collection like yours, it's a shame to wear this length too often.
That is a gorgeous skirt, and coral is a nice color on you.
Wow! That skirt is lovely. I bet it was really fun to swish around in, despite the fear of tripping.
I have a floor length jacket that I wore in high school that other people trip over on the stairs . We had 4 flights to stairs to walk up and down everyday. Eventually my friends knew to walk 4 stairs away.
Dude. I've had that exact phobia since age 10. I swear.
Great outfit. Special. The skirt is the star and it carries the day in many ways.
Oh my goodness, gorgeous skirt! Such a great colour, and it looks like it's wonderfully swishy too. You look great.
I would like to say something for given a nice pose. That really amazing.

I was going down the tiny winding stairs of St. Paul's Cathedral dome in London and I kept having that vision as my long skirt billowed out and blocked my view of my feet. And I've already knocked my front teeth out once! It's not fun!
I love that long skirts billow in the wind. I think you should enjoy that aspect, at least.
Oh my goodness, I have that same fear. Especially when going down particularly steep stairs in heels of almost height :( But regardless, you look fabulous here!
I'm so excited to see you wearing this skirt once you got it hemmed. I think it will suit you very well!
