Striped Shorts

I'm really excited about these striped shorts. I had found a pair of pants in the exact same fabric while we were out shopping with Sal and Mike in Minneapolis, but sadly the only 2 pairs in stock were a size too big and a size too small for me. A couple of days later I found these in a second-hand shop in Chicago for $15; I think they're actually better than long pants because they're more versatile. In order to really see the fabric you have to open the photos and then click to zoom; the digital camera does wacky things to stripes and other sharp edges.

Jacket: F21
Top: Michael Stars
Pants: White House Black Market
Shoes: Tsubo

When I saw this outfit, I immediately thought of one of my favorite movies, Master & Commander. Those pants are awesome, and would probably be acceptable in my laboratory work environment. What a great look.

That blazer is awesome! I love the big bold buttons and the small clasp closure. And those trousers and super cool layered over tights. Wonderful look, Audi!

Somehow I imagine a powdered wig completing the outfit. I love it!

I am so in love with that jacket that I might actually go into the terrifyingly huge Forever 21 down on Market Street in hopes of finding something equally cute.

Great pattern! It is interesting how stripes appear in digital photos, right? I wonder if something could be done with that intentionally.

elbee: Hooray, another Master and Commander fan! If you haven't done so already, I'd definitely recommend reading the books -- they're wonderful!

I love the blazer with this excellently nautical outfit! I'm always frustrated by what my point and shoot does to stripes.
