Weekday Height

Wearing this outfit made me realize how much I've gotten used to wearing heels at work, because I felt much shorter than normal in these sneakers. However, I wear these and other low-heeled or flat shoes all the time on the weekends, and it feels quite natural. Since Mark and I are about the same height, I find that wearing tall heels makes it difficult to walk together, because as it is my legs are longer than his and the additional height really throws our proportions off. Not only that, but on the weekends we're typically just walking down to the farmer's market or going to grab a casual meal, so heels aren't really in order.

Do you have a weekday height and a weekend one? Is it influenced by who you spend time with?

My boyfriend is 3 inches taller than me, so weekend time is certainly converse or cute flats time. Most of the week I'm wearing Uggs or converse, lately sandals since I work with developmentally disabled adults, I'm running to and fro all day trying to keep up with my clients. I'mma huge fan of your blog! Your belt vests are insanely gorgeous! I wish I could afford one, but I must just drool forever. Anywhoozers, love your blog. Tah tah!

Great look.

I definitely wear more heels at work (I'm sat at a desk for most of the day, which makes it easier) although the heels are sneaking in for the weekends. It's becoming more influenced by my outfit rather than the day of the week.

welll....as a rule i'm home during the week, so i'm generally barefoot. i'll put on flats or clogs for my daily constitutional.

weekends husband and i spend hiking/walking around various towns (2-4 miles/per day) and that's when i'll wear heels. he's an inch or two shorter than i. nowadays i mostly wear clogs for hiking, though i've done so in heels more than once (sigh...those taupe suede calvin klein kitten heels on that Muir Woods trail.....)

Congrats on getting an item in Etsy Finds! When I saw the belt in my e-mail, I thought it looked great- and very familiar! I hope you sell a ton of them! :)

My husband's about 4 inches taller than me, so it's just right when I have heels on.

I do wear a lot more flats on the weekends, because I walk most places.

I don't own a single pair of high heels, unfortunately (besides the one's passed to me from my mother). I'm 5'8" and although I'm not really (reaaaallly) tall, I'm just tall enough that high heels make me feel like I stand out too much.

I used to wear heels all the time in summer (I am in graduate studies, so I only work full time for four months of the year), but now I have a bit of a walk in my day, and so I tend to just wear flatter shoes. However, I just remembered a pair of really awesome heeled sandals that I bought at the very very end of last summer that I haven't worn yet. Hopefully I'll wear those some time this week (and make it through the whole day without resorting to ballet flats)
I do think I need some sneakers like yours!

It totally does! I love wearing heels, and I do usually. But my boyfriend loves when I wear flats, I need to stand up on my tip-toes to kiss him!
Take care!

I tend to wear heels during the week (I, too, work in an office), especially now that I'm finding brands that both fit my size-12 feet and are comfortable (I'm fat, so shoes with great cushioning are a must). I also wear flats sometimes - especially on casual Fridays, for which I got a cute pair of gladiator sandals.

Weekends I usually wear sandals or sneakers, depending on the weather, just to help give my feet a break from the heels. I'm single, so that doesn't affect my shoe choice (and it wouldn't even if I were seeing someone). Oh, and I'm 5'10" and tend to wear 2-3" heels. Tall women rock!

Nah, I more or less wear heels all the time. Unless my back or knees are complaining!

I love my Alegrio Leopard Mary Janes those are my "high heels" of choice right now. So basically I am the same height 24/7. Love the Suzabelle dress!

Sigh.I have given up on wearing heels especially since I began commuting (an hour each way) to work. I also find myself walking and lifting a ton of books, so I'd like to reduce the probability of slipping and spraining my ankle by wearing flats or tennis shoes. But I have a plethora of high heeled shoes that I wear when I know I won't be standing or walking too much.

First of all, this is ADORABLE. So flippin adorable. I love it.

In terms of heels, I tend to wear them more at work. Joe is 6'3", exactly a foot taller than me, so it seems like it would make sense for me to wear heels around him. But I always feel overdressed, and I think he prefers me in flats anyway (less complaining about uncomfortable heels, probably). :)

Cute outfit!

Well my hubby is 6' 3" so if we are going out I put on my 4" heels and have no problem. Just easier to kiss him. ;) If we are just running errands with the kids, then I am in flats. Invariably one will want me to hold them, so it makes it easier on my body.

Since Nic is several inches shorter than me, I refrain from wearing my highest heels when we're going to be spending a lot of time standing together. It's just kinda awkward. But then for work, my highest heels aren't comfortable for running around campus to events and such. I find a mid-height heel works both with Nic and with events, but sometimes I just want that sexy high heel look and embrace my inner Amazonian :)

My hubby is just under 6'6", so I'm with all the gals whose significant others are a foot taller than they are.
If I'm/we're just running errands, etc. I wear whatever I feel like wearing, but when we go out, it's almost always either heels or platforms for me. I figure he has to bend to talk to just about anyone, so it's the least I can do. Plus, it's easier to kiss him...

I wear platforms all the time, weekdays and weekends, which give me usually about 4" extra height. I'm 4'11", so this actually makes the world a more comfortable place to be. I don't feel like I'm literally under everyone's nose all the time, which makes a difference in being able to engage with people. (I'm still short, of course, but in a more usual range of short instead of freakishly so.) It also makes sitting in chairs much easier; I can sit comfortably without the circulation to my feet getting cut off because of how I'm arranged.
