I Give Up

I don't know, guys, I just don't have much to say about this one; it's just a really comfy outfit made up of soft, swingy layers of neutrals. Three times I've sat down and tried to write something more interesting for this post and three times I've failed, so at this point I'm going to give up and just wish you a wonderful weekend. See you next week!

Jacket: F21
Shirt: H&M
Dress: Lady Language
Skirt: a hand-me-up from my sis
Tights: MP, via Sock Dreams
Shoes: John Fluevog

Sometimes, simplicity is just fine. This outfit is perfect - I love the soft layers and the simple, neutral colors.

I really like this outfit. It feels very mixed edwardian, with the buttoned coat and the empire waist. It looks ever so comfortable while still having shape. I'm happy you shared it.

Hi Audi,

I have just came across your Etsy shop, which is fantastic by the way! I loved the harnesses and the leather work so badly that I had to do a feature on my blog about it.

I hope you don't mind me using your pictures but the designs are just so amazing I had to share it with my readers. You guys got me drooling so badly over here!

Speak to you soon.

Regrads,
Eri

This is a lovely outfit. It seems like something from the British 1800s -- you're a sprightly damsel and your military boyfriend didn't want you to get a chill, so he lent you his jacket.

It's very sweet and demure. There you go:).

I like Leah Felicity's comment - you look like a woman who's appropriated a sea captain's jacket (very "Master and Commander").

Love it. And I just walked by Fluevog's shop here in Vancouver today. I couldn't quite bring myself to walk in - so i made monster faces on the window. Maybe I'll go in on another day when I am dressed more confidently.

I love it! It has a great Edwardian vibe without looking like a costume.

I actually have a question! I love that jacket, and seriously considered buying one the other day when I was hopping around F21. Is it well made? Does it tend to fit well? How is the sleeve length for someone who is taller?

Cute outfit!

Leah Felicity, Sheila: I love it! I'm certain that Captain Aubrey would never let me get a chill. :-)

scicurious: I'd say this jacket fits small. The sleeves are a bit short on me, but I always push them up to my elbows anyway so it doesn't matter. It's well made though, especially for the price!

Hmmm, small fit is not so great, I'm REALLY long in the arms. Still might give it a try, it's a good price. Thanks!

A lot of your outfits have a steampunk sort of tone. I think it's adorable. I would say this outfit is awesome, simple, but with enough creative flare :)

I really like the simplicity, the grey ruffle of your top takes it to that next level of interesting.
